Accessing old data files

I am currently using AccountRight Premier V19 (desk top) and am going to move to the live version.

I would like to know how many years of data is stored as we do need to on occasions access data from over 10 years ago.

I have been saving the file, then purging, and re-saving this file for current use.

Would I still do this?

Re: Accessing old data files

I seriously suggest you read Andrew Stephens' posts on here about the new version as there are lots of on-going problems and the files CANNOT be purged so become larger and larger and slower and slower. Some have mentioned problems with altered (and possibly lost) data on migration as well. If you do decide to take the plunge, then I strongly suggest you run in tandem with v19 in case you decide to return to it.

Cheers

Hi @Glenjoy

Yes, you will save the file exactly like you do now. If you need it, you would then restore it on your computer.

I upgraded all my clients a number of years, and the better functionality over your version for otweighs some of the softwares dissadvantages.
