Changing serial number in MYOB

We are trying to move our client from an Account right subscription held by their previous accountant (who is the sole administrator of the file and had various clients attached to their previous serial number) to our client's new MYOB subscription. We are unable to change the serial number when opening the myob file locally as our client is not to administrator of the file. It's our understanding we need to change the serial number and then upload the myob file with updated serial number to the clients new live subscription and this will then make them the file administrator and able to perform all functions and invite additional users. Help would be appreciated.

• Current serial number of the file 
• Your full name and email address 
• Clients full name and email address 
• Confirmation if the client can access and sign into the file at all or do they not have an invite to the file
