Need Confirmation Code.

Hi,

Just re-installed new Operating System (OS).

I can only view my files in Read Only Mode.

I have 2 company files and I need to activate them with the confirmation code which I am finding difficult to get from Papua New Guinea.

Hi @JNeville

 

I've looked up your email on our system and found an account that was having troubles with confirming. I was able to fix this issue on our end and you should now be able to confirm your company file online.

 

If you open the software now and confirm the company file does this confirm successfully?

Hi @JNeville

 

An invalid code message normally means you are trying to confirm using the wrong software. For example your licence might be for Plus however you are using Premier. Or your licence might be for Premier v19.5 and you are using Premier v19.15.

 

If you use the software you are licensed for, the code should work.

Hi @JNeville

 

I believe I see the problem here, from the account I can find this is licenced for AccountRight Standard whereas I can see in your screenshot that you are using AccountRight Premier. This would be as @gavin12345 mentioned where you would be using a product different to what your licenced for.

 

To make sure I'm finding the right account, could you send me a Private Message with a screenshot of the Confirm by phone screen? This can show me the relevant Serial Number and Company File Code to look at.

Hi @JNeville

 

Thanks for the Screenshot, I was definitely finding the right account. The Serial Number in the file is only licenced to use AccountRight Standard, whereas you're using AccountRight Premier which is causing the "Invalid Confirmation Code" error as Premier cannot be confirmed using a Confirmation Code designed for Standard.

 

I had a look into the history and cannot see that this Licence was ever a Premier Serial Number so I recommend installing AccountRight Standard V19.8 on the computer and continuing to open your file in that software. This should then allow you to confirm online.

 

You can download this by going to: www.myob.com/downloads and scroll down to see AccountRight v19 Standard to click on, then you should be able to download the installer within.

 

Once you have downloaded and installed this, open your file and it should allow you to confirm online without any errors.

Hi @Hayden_B  & @gavin12345,

Now I am stuck at the installation. After uninstalling AR Standard 2018.4 I cannot install AR Standard 19.8. See screenshot. I tried deleting folders and and also deleting several registry keys related to Account Right but still cannot install. Please help.
