My new client has MYOB 11 -last backed up 3978 days ago (!!).
Am I correct that there is no point in upgrading to a current version at this stage? Has anyone else got one this old?
I plan on starting a brand new file !
I have v12 working on Windows 10 after copying the programme from each computer to the next. If you can access the client's computer, maybe this will work.
from my testing, copying the whole program to the new PC to run has worked directly however using the installer will fail on Windows 10 as it will try and use the older Windows methods that aren't available anymore.
I definitely suggest keeping a copy of the program somewhere in case something goes wrong as it looks like you won't be able to reinstall it later.

Great to hear this worked. You may need to do workarounds for Office links like send to text or file (or pdf) but otherwise it should be ok to use for some time - AND no confirmations required! Good idea about backups - I have separate backups of all my old programmes and installers.
