Reconcile Accounts after upgrade to AccountRight 2019

I recently upgraded from my 2009 version of MYOB to AccountRight 2019

I am entering July transactions.

One of my three bank accounts has a random Customer Receipt from 2017

Prior to upgrade ALL of my bank accounts were reconciled.

There were no outstanding, unreconciled transactions ... never mind from 2017!!

As this transaction has been purged, I cannot edit or delete it - so my bank account remains unbalanced by the amount of that transaction.  Apart from interest, that is the ONLY transaction in this bank account

Again, this was not present prior to upgrade.

How do I get rid of it, please?  Can I contact MYOB?  Do they have access to my company file to correct this?

To clarify, are you unable to tick the box to reconcile? I'll link the post details purged which might relate to the same situation.

Thanks for your reply

I had a deeper look yesterday and from what I could tell, the transaction itself did not pop up (so did not affect my accounts or GST).

It would appear that it just needed a tick to 'reconcile' it.

So I did that.

I will keep an eye on my BAS reports at the end of the quarter, but I am not expecting it to be an issue Smiley Happy

 

Yes, your question would have woken me up lol

Initially, I thought it was a rogue transaction.  I still don't know why it popped up from 2 years ago, but I think it is sorted Smiley Happy

No worries, I'm happy to hear this is sorted for you now! The randomness of the old transaction would have understandably made it seem like something had gone wrong in the process of upgrading. I'm glad ticking it worked to resolve it.
