Recurring transactions not saving layout

Hi

 

Just changed over to AccountRight Premier vs 2020.2 from Essentials.  I just discovered my recurring transactions are not saving in the original layout of our invoice.  i have gone in and reset up the transaction, saved it, gone out and back in again only to find it still revets to another layout.  I have spent most of the day on setting up these recurring transactions so not impressed i have wasted all this time  !!  would appreciate any suggestions from anyone who has experienced the same thing.

Hi @Morsy17 

 

What layout is the recurring transaction?

 

As we are aware that timebilling layout invoices that only include items will be converted across to an item layout upon saving, instead of a timebilling layout.  To prevent this from occurring you want to ensure that the first line of the transaction is an activity-based line even if its a zero dollar activity line.

Hi Steven

 

They are reverting to an Item layout which just doesnt suit.  i 've never used activities before so i'm not familiar how to add an activity based item ??

Hi again

 

I just had a look at the activities and added a line to our invoice and that seems to have worked !   yay i'm glad i didnt waste 2 weeks of entry Smiley Happy
