GST return calculating wrong rate

My laptop recently crashed. I reinstalled my AccountRight Standard disc, upgraded to v19.5, but the GST report is still the old one and is calculating at 12.5%. Please help.

Re: GST return calculating wrong rate

Hi @MsEmily

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of knowledge

There are generally only two reasons why the GST Return in AccountRight v19 would be showing the incorrect calculation for boxes 8 and 14. Should be Multiple Box 7/11 by three and divide by twenty three instead is showing Divide the amount in the Box 7/11 by nine.

  1. You are selecting to run the GST Return with a date that is on or before the GST change to 15%.  I would recommend ensuring that the Last Month in Reporting Period is set to be in a current period i.e. this year or last year (after October 2010 none the less).
  2. The version of the program you are using is not AccountRight 19.5 or later. I would recommend going to Help>>About AccountRight and confirming the New Zealand Release Version shows 19.5. If it showing an earlier number like 19.0 then you would be looking at installing AccountRight 19.5. We can provide a download link if you are entitled to that version - you are welcome to send through your serial number (Setup>>Company Information) in a Forum private message to me so I can provide that for you.

Kind regards,
Steven
