Cant Email Payslips

Right this is a right pain in that arse

I have read the treads, uninstalled reinstalled, done the port thing adminastrater thing and still nothing!

I can email one bloodly pay slip then the next one crashes!!!

Under MYOB AO PDF Gen... Printing preferences

if I click the box there is no Licensed to or Activation code?

Do i need this??

I just want the bloodly thing to work and dont have time to play could be this could be that!!

Hi @MahonyTrucker

 

Would you mind confirming what email method you are using to email out of MYOB Payroll? i.e. are you selecting SMTP or your own email program to email out? If you are using your own email program what program and version of that program are you using?

I have the same problem.

You have to run as administrator, close outlook BEFORE you try emailing any payslips.

it takes about 15 seconds to load each payslip  then once they are ALL done you can open outlook again and they'll send off.  Very annoying

 

I think this is an MYOB bug they need to fix???

Hi @LKM

 

This is not something that I have personally come across with emailing from New Zealand Payroll. Ideally you would send to email within New Zealand Payroll, it may generate the email window to which you would need to select Send. If you do have Outlook closed it may collate those emails ready to be sent when Outlook is open.

So we can investigate further would you mind confirming what version of Outlook you are using and whether that is a 32 bit or 64 bit version of Outlook? Also getting the version of Windows you are using as well would be appreciated. Along with if you have installed the latest New Zealand Payroll update (2016.1) yet?

I installed 2016.1 on a client computer today - running Win7 and Outlook 2013.

I noticed that you had to press send for each payslip sent (about 15 of them) - we did have Outlook open. I'm sure this used to just send them all automatically before 2016.1 version.

I am using Outlook 2016, I generate the pay, then click on print, click next mark the send via Email Software then next! If I SMTP nothing is checked and cant send anything!

Hi @MahonyTrucker

Outlook 2016 is not compatible with NZ Payroll. Emailing via Outlook only works with up to 2013 version.

At least MYOB prints out Invoices in order now with statements!! 2 steps forward one step back with payroll!

Hi @MahonyTrucker

Who is your internet provider? If it is Xtra - then you can't use smtp - because Xtra have blocked the smtp servers by requiring a user name and password. If you use the old Teltra Clear or Vodafone - you might find smtp.clear.net.nz or smtp.vodafone.co.nz might work. You set this up when emailing payslips - there is a screen to enter in the smtp address.

For other providers you would need to find out the smtp address.
