Cost Centres lost General Ledger Codes after moving online

We've moved our MYOB AccountRight 2018.4 Company file to the online library instead of using the network library.

Payroll became disconnected from the accounting file and after re-connecting via the online library we've lost all the general ledger assignements to the cost centres (several thousand).

Is there a quick fix to this issue?

Re: Cost Centres lost General Ledger Codes after moving online

Hi @Mitchell90

When you connect a Payroll file to an AccountRight file you do need to select the required General Ledger code for your cost centres and the like. In your case, as you have moved the location of that file, the payroll setup would need to be re-completed as Payroll would now be looking at a new instance of the file.

See New Zealand Payroll Support Note: Integrating Payroll with your accounting software for more information setting up payroll to transfer journals across to an AccountRight company file.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: Cost Centres lost General Ledger Codes after moving online

Hi @Mitchell90 @Steven_M

No easy fix sorry - we have had that happen to client files - and it's a case of linking at least the cost centres you are using to ensure the journal goes through.
