Unable to email payslips when previously we could. Nothing has changed since December 2014 when we last processed and emailed payslips.

Hi there,
Who is your internet provider. If it is Xtra, then the authentication has changed. If it is not Xtra, then maybe the authentication on your provider has changed. This message means that the user name and password for the smtp server ws not provided. Payroll cannot do this, so you will need to send via Outlook method.

We run our own SMTP server. Our ISP provider is Xtreme Networks. No server changes have been made since the last successful run (in December).

Hi there,
I would be asking Extreme networks who the main provider is - and whether authentication has been added to their requirements.

Xtreme provide internet services to us - no email service, we do that ourselves in house.

Hi @Jumbo
Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of knowledge.
Reading the message it does look like the server has been moved to requiring authentication. As MYOB Payroll doesn't require authentication it will fail if you attempt to try an authenticated SMTP Server.
I would be speaking the team that maintains the SMTP server and see if they have moved to an authenticate server. More importantly can it be moved to to an unauthenticated SMTP server to email those payslips via SMTP.
