This error occurs regularly whilst working in Payroll 2.18.1
Error 1104/reading file - closes program down.
Looking at the error it does appear that it is having trouble reading one of the MYOB Payroll System files and therefore is not able to open the company file. This could either be due to a corruption in the Payroll or an environmental factor i.e permissions/file location... I would be looking at restoring a backup prior to that error message occurring - MYOB Payroll Support Note: Restoring your company file would be able to assist with that.
I also note that the path it is showing as the M drive, is that a Server or external drive? If so then MYOB Payroll is not supported to have the data saved/run within a server environment and therefore issues can arise. We do recommend and support running and having the data for MYOB Payroll locally.
Appears that this is the answer - had to ask advice from our IT person. Not sure why an MYOB specialist would not now this!!
Typically, the Support Note information you have provided correct errors relating to crashing of the program when running reports and produces PDFs. Personally, I wouldn't recommend updating the AO PDF Generator if you are receiving the Error 1104/Reading file. However, it has worked for yourself it is great to hear that and thanks for sharing your solution with the Community.
