MYOB Payroll can't see network drives

MYOB Payroll can't see network drives

Hi

 

My client backups up their data to a network drive.  This morning when they went in, MYOB couldn't see it so they were unable to back up.  I called in & changed the backup site to a folder on the Desktop until we casn resolve this.  The drive itself is available on the computer & is listed as a drive in file explorer but MYOB cannot see it.  I restarted the computer more than once but still no drive.  Has anyone else had this issue & how was it resolved?

Hi @DonnaGSBS 

 

Based on some researching it does appear to be more of a Windows situation than an NZ Payroll one. 

Can't see network drives in the Open dialog box
FolderBrowserDialog does not show network drives on Windows 8

 

From what I can gather, in some cases, right-click running the application as Administrator has allowed for those drives to appear. Alternatively, there are registry edits that can be made.
