Re: NZ Payroll Desktop Support

Hi Melisa,

It was terrible - i have never experienced such poor service from MYOB.

The three people i spoke to werent even aware of the support notes or where things were located inside the software - very very frustrating.

Anyhow - my two issues are:

1. I have an employee who has recently returned from Parental leave and wants to cash out some annual leave that was accured during parental leave - i have followed the instructions in support note 'answer ID: 23049'; however, when i tick the 'use average weekly pay' box it does not change the rate - it still uses the higher or OWP and AWE.

2. Wanting to pay an employee a net bonus. In this particual pay she has wages, a gross bonus and to be paid a net bonus too. How do i use the PAYE calculator to produce the gross amount. The net figure has be to grossed up to include PAYE, KiwiSaver and SL.

Cheers,

Re: NZ Payroll Desktop Support

Hi @KaliPPS

I'm sorry that you've had that experience. If you wish to offer additional feedback on this, you're welcome to do so via the Feedback & Complaints channel on our Contact us page.

Can you please provide a screenshot of the window you're in before and after selecting Use Average Weekly pay so I can take a look into this with our teams.

In regards to the PAYE calculator, our help article Paying bonuses and dealing with the tax has information and instructions on how to process bonuses along with how to use the PAYE calculator under heading Using the PAYE Calculator at the end of the page.

That said, @jenniek is one of our NZ Payroll experts and may be able to offer further assistance on this.

Cheers,
Melisa
