Payday Filing

Hello Everyone

From April 2019, all New Zealand employers will need to file payroll information to the IRD using the new Payday filing method and frequency. This method will replace the current process of uploading the Monthly Employer Schedule (IR 348) to the IRD and will require reporting on a payday basis. For more information on Payday filing and whether you need to file, please see this article on the IRD website and our Payday filing page.

Our team are currently working on appropriate solutions for our different NZ Payroll products, to allow our customers to file using this new method and remain compliant after the April 2019 deadline. We expect this feature to be available soon for early access for any customers who wish to voluntarily opt-in to payday filing before the April 2019 deadline.

As we get closer to releasing this functionality in our products, we will have more information available on the new processes for your particular payroll product. In the meantime, you can continue to file to the IRD as normal.

Regards,
Neil
