Processing pay in advance

Hi, I was wondering in MYOB Essentials payroll will ever have a feature where you can process a pay in advance rather than having to wait for the particular day to process each pay.

Hi @RachRakatau

 

MYOB Essentials Payroll (NZ) certainly allows you to enter a pay for a future date. You just need to ensure that the pay to and from dates are correct along with the pay on date.  The only time that you wouldn't be able to do that would be if the pay on date falls in a new payroll year.


Note: If you do use PayAgent you can enter the pay in advance, however, the funds will be debited on the date the pay was entered (as long as it's before 4pm otherwise the pays will be paid out the next business day).

The only time you can't process in advance is 31/3/xx as it is the start of the new tax year.

Hi Steven

 

Thank you, our clients do use pay agent. Do you think pay agent will allow clients to set up pays in advance? Just asking as our clients had to come into work during the Christmas holidays just to process pays which wasn't ideal.

Currently, advance pays using PayAgent is not something that we are actively looking into with that feature at this time. However, this may be something that we do consider in future updates.
