Reversing Sick Leave Paid Out & Paying as Ordinary Time

Hi - An employee was paid out a sick leave day in error in a prior payroll period. This pay has been finalised.  How do you reverse that sick leave day paid out and pay as ordinary time in the following payroll.

Best.

Hi @Jules_D

Which payroll system are you using. If it's MYOB Payroll (desktop) then you can put a negative hours against sick leave and positive hours against ord time i the next payrun (or separately). You could also restore from the backup and fix if it was the last payrun done.

If it's Essentials Payroll (online), you will either need to delete the pay and do it again (make sure you turn off the payday filing first, or it will lodge to IRD. Or make a note in the records and adjust the sick leave balance owing up on the leave screen.
