Staff Purchases deducted through payroll/AccountRight

Hi

I just need help setting up a new code for Staff Purchases.  Our apprentice has purchased tools on our account with one of our suppliers.  He wants $150 per week deducted from his pay to go towards the purchase.  How do I do this in NZ payroll/Accountright?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Staff Purchases deducted through payroll/AccountRight

Hi @Treesrgreen

Our MYOB Payroll Help Article: Setting up an Accumulator would be able to assist with that process. Basically, you want to follow Step 2 and 4 on that Help Article, the other steps relate to an accumulator so you can track the actual amount still owed (which is optional).

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: Staff Purchases deducted through payroll/AccountRight

Hi @Treesrgreen

From an AccountRight point of view, you would have the payroll journal credit a liability account either through integration or via entry of that journal. It then depends on what has occurred within the AccountRight company file with that purchase.

If the company just paid for the goods, you would likely record another journal to transfer those funds into an income or asset account from the liability.

Kind regards,
Steven
