Student Loan Repayment not shown on payroll Summary Report

In Essentials Payroll, the student loan repayment amount is included in the Deductions total, as is the employee's KiwiSaver contribution.  The Kiwisaver employee contribution is then also shown in a separate column.  Why is the Student Loan Repayment not shown in a separate column?

Re: Student Loan Repayment not shown on payroll Summary Report

Hi @Jacqui_M

The Payroll Summary report is designed to be an overview of the pay and what the employee has been paid. This does mean that the Student Loan value is included in the value of the deductions as the value is being deducted from the employee.

The reason the KiwiSaver employee does have its own separate category is it can be used as a quick reference to ensure the correct KiwiSaver percentage is being used for the employee. Student Loan is generally a fixed percentage (12% over the threshold) and is likely to not change between employees.

Kind Regards,
Steven
