Unable to email payslips from MYOB Payroll - Error 1429/OLE IDispatch code 5 from CDINTF~1

Hi There,

We have recently installed MYOB Payroll on a new terminal server - Server 2012 R2. Most functions work fine but when it comes to emailing out payslips MYOB displays the 1429/OLE error and crashes.

It seems to work ok when logged in to the server using the domain admin which makes me think this is some sort of permission issue for normal users.

It seems to be an issue with a pdf related function. Even clicking the PDF button before Emailing will crash with the same error.

Error 1429/OLE IDispatch exception code 5 from CDINTF~1: DriverInit failed.

Program Section initialisepdf (line 34)

Current Object frmPrintPreview

Program Code SELECT pr_recs

We have tried reinstalling the software.

Using SMTP, and also Email program.

Checked event viewer and no noticable errors.

Ran procmon to determine if there are any access denied events during the process.

Any assistance would be appreciated, hopefully this is a known issue.

Thanks,

Cullan

Hello @csimpson

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of knowledge. If you do have enquires don't hesitate to post them so the MYOB Community can assist.

Payroll is not designed to work on a terminal server environment, the payroll software and the file need to be on a local drive only with a single user access.  We do not support the payroll software on any other operating system apart from the ones listed in - Minimum Specifications for Payroll

However in saying this you may be able to get the payroll file to work without errors in this environment, we just cannot guarantee the file will not become corrupt using the file any other way.

Kind regards,

Kat
