We have an employee who started 18 August 2014. they worked for 7 weeks but have been on Acc since or 11 weeks.
Unpaid leave for one week and then extra unpaid leave has not been recorded. We have an annual shut down period and his leave entitlement shows 62 hours . How can I correct this please? Much appreciated !

Hi there @anniep
While an employee is on ACC and still technically employed by you - they are still accruing annual leave " as if they were working", so you will owe them the 62 hours showing if this is the accrued time for the total time he is employed.

Thanks for the fast reply . It's holiday pay period and Im in a bit of a panic . . So does it not matter if extra unpaid leave is not recorded ?? Or is there something I need to do there? Does the same apply if they are just on unpaid extended holiday that their annual leave keeps accruing ?

Hi there,
You do not not need to use UNPDLV if your employee is on ACC, however if they are actually on unpaid leave - then you need to account for it by using the UNPDLV code for the number of hours they do not work. Note - this will only have an effect on the annual leave calculation when it is blocks of 1 week or more. Otherwise it is a manual calculation at annual leave rollover to work out how many weeks to reduce the annual leave calc by.
