I currently have MYOB NZ Payroll on my laptop which I have used to date, but I now have a need to use it on another computer, my desktop at home as well to access my MYOB Payroll. I do not have a program disk to load MYOB and cannot seem to download from the web. Can you please how I can use my NZ Payroll from 2 different computers please. PS: I have MYOB data files stored in the Cloud.

Hi there @Lancette,
Welcome to the Community Forum! We do hope you find it a valuable resource for getting the most out of your software.
I have sent you a private message requesting further information so I can then go ahead and provide you with a download link to the appropriate version of your NZ Payroll software. You can then use this to download the program onto the second computer as required.
Please feel free to post again anytime you require further assistance.

Hi there,
NZ payroll is not a multi-user system, and can only be used from two separate computers at DIFFERENT times. You would need to have the actual data ina common location. How do you mean you have your data in the cloud - if this is the accounting data, it is different to the payroll data in NZ. I would not recommend using Dropbox for the location of your payroll data - too risky. If you use a common server, or have the computers networked, then you could locate your data in a common shared folder.

I only want to use MYOB from 2 different computers - one in office and one at home. MYOB back up data files are in Cloud and accessible by both computers currently, but I do not have the Payroll program on my home computer to access.
If this is still not possible, can MYOB be changed to and be loaded on my home computer?

Hi there @Lancette
You would need to install the NZ payroll programme onto your computer at home, then create a new data file, and restore a backup from the office computer into the new data file. This will restore all the information in payroll to the home computer. You will need to enter in the serial number again, but it will work fine. However your home computer, then holds the latest data and you would back this up to your cloud location. If you then wanted to look at payroll on the office computer, you would then restore the latest backup onto the office computer and work on it. It would be a matter of knowing where the latest file is located.

How do I install MYOB on my home computer as I do not have a disc to do so? Do I download the free trial version and then use my serial number or how do I go about this?

Hi there,
You should find a download on your my.myob login, or yes download a test drive - the serial number is linked to your data file, not the programme.

Hi there,
Have you restored your backup first. It won't work if you try and confirm the file beforehand.
