I found a ridiculously stupid work around.

Open MYOB essentials in MS Edge.  

Bank rec opens instantly!

Hi everyone,

We have performed maintenance on Essentials on the night of 13 July and these issues should be resolved now.

If you are still encountering problems in your browser, I would recommend clearing your cache or try opening the page in a different browser.
