Can't Import Sell Account and Buy Account from ItemNZ.txt

Historical posts indicate MYOB Essentials is unable to automate importing of <SELL ACCOUNT> and <BUY ACCOUNT> fields from ItemNZ.txt file.

IS that STILL THE CASE ??  i.e. Even in the year 2023, with all the IT experience we have, these fields must still be entered manually from the "Item account mapping" screen online ??  Correct??

Does the same PROBLEM / LIMITATION exist in AccountRight ??

In AccountRight, it depends. If you are importing new items, then yes you can specify 'I Sell' and 'I Buy' as well as the relevant accounts to use. These can be imported, am I an not aware of any bugs here. I have done this many times.

However if you want to update existing items, you can only do this if the existing Items already have a Sell account and a Buy account. Once an item has been used in a transaction, there are limitations on what changes can be made. This applies on screen as well as when importing.
