MYOB Business Pro conversion to Accountright

I hate hate hate hate hate MYOB Business Pro as it is so restrictive and did I mention I hate it. I have changed from XERO which I am regretting now, unless UNLESS I can somehow upgrade and convert to Accountright. I read somewhere this was not possible. Is it possible? If you can convert from other accounting packages, you should be able to get Business Pro to talk to Accountright? If so, how do I upgrade and move across my information.

Sorry to hear you find MYOB Business Pro restrictive and not suitable. You can certainly stop MYOB Business Pro subscription and start an AccountRight Plus/Premier one instead, however, the MYOB Business Pro company file cannot be transferred into AccountRight directly. You'll need to start a new AccountRight company file, chart of accounts can be exported from MYOB Business Pro then imported into AccountRight, then the rest needs to be entered manually.

Another option that's worth considering is using our migration service that can convert XERO files to AccountRight directly(please refer to the FAQ section for what data can/cannot be converted).

That's my point how bizarre it is that you can migrate XERO across, but not MYOB Business Pro to Accountright, I  mean, how does one of your packages not talk to the other?

Thank you for the feedback. The conversion of other accounting software files to AccountRight isn't done by us directly, it's by our secure third-party provider Convert2MYOB. Having said that, I'll be sure to pass on your feedback to the relevant team, hopefully moving from MYOB Business Pro to AccountRight will be made easier in the future.
