Need to import a Chart of Accounts

I have a number of new clients who are all in the same type of business that requires a chart of accounts that is a bit more sophisticated than the standard service type offered when you setup a new Essentials Ledger.

I have made significant changes for the first client I am setting up with the idea that after having done this once, I would be able to export and import the new chart for my other clients.

Wrong, apparently I can’t do this.

Could you please put this on the list of enhancements for Essentials so that we can stream line the setup of new clients.

Hi everyone,

Thank you all for your interest in this idea. The ability of importing account list already exists in Essentials Accounting, if you set up a list of accounts in Excel as a template, it can be imported into new Essentials Accounting businesses. 

If you'd like to see the option to export, I would encourage you to add your votes for this idea Exporting Data, the number of votes would greatly help our developers to identify the demand and prioritise their work.
