Paying Super as a once of deduction with no pay

I'm trying to call MYOB Help Support and keep getting hung up on before I can get through. How do I pay Super as a once of Salary Sacrifice Deduction if I have already processed the pay and have no pay to deduct it from ?

I'm on MYOB Essentials and I already have the Pay Item of Salary Sacrifice set up for Super as a user entered amount, but when I process the pay, the total is negative due to the Salary Sacrifice Deduction.

Re: Paying Super as a once of deduction with no pay

Hi @Jennielee

Thanks for your post. If you have already processed a payrun for the amount to be salary sacrificed with the amount allocated to Base Hourly/Salary, process the negative salary sacrifice payrun. As the postive payrun is not being paid to the employee you can manually reconcile both pays in the Reconcile accounts window.

For example, if the employee is salary sacrificing $1000 you would enter $1000 against the Base Hourly/Salary pay item and $1000 against the Salary Sacrifice pay item. This can be done in one payrun or two separate pay runs.

Please let me know if you need further help.

Re: Paying Super as a once of deduction with no pay

Thank you Tracy, I processed an amount against Base Hourly/Salary and the same amount against Salary Sacrifice, with the net pay of zero, and it worked.
