Remove successful contributions from the Pay Superannuation window

I had an employees super contribution rejected due to an incorrect fund name.  Followed the help document titled "Resending return contributions"  but am a little unsure with the last step "C" heading Remove successful contributions from the Pay Superannuation window"  Where it says in no. 3. Click and Save and choose where you want to save the contribution file.  There is no save option only record.   Also if I try and delete the entries it will only give me the option to reverse.  Should I reverse this entry to clear or is there something I have missed.  I really need to clear it from this area as I do not want it accidently uploading to the super portal.  It is currently sitting as pending authorisation.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your post.

 

If an employee's super fund details are wrong you'll need to Update their fund details before paying their super. Reversing a super payment doesn't change any of your employee's pays. It just return the contribution back to the Create Super Payment screen with all the other unpaid contributions.

Thank you Celia for the information I really appreciate it.  I followed the link MYOB help provided me

Resending returned contributions - MYOB's super portal - MYOB Help Centre

and had fixed the issue I had before I followed the steps in this document.  All has been smooth running except as mentioned when I get to C. Remove successful contributions from the Pay Superannuation window.

Attached are two screenshots of where my problem is at the moment:

The Super Payment in question is $220.41 dated 3/5/23 this is where I am trying to remove as per the document above at "C".  These two super contributions totalling $220.41 are the ones I need to clear.  Can you please advise me if I need to clear this pending authorisation entry. Your further assistance would be greately appreciated.

There is no option to delete the pending authorization in this case. The only option is to use the Pay Super Window to reverse it.

Hi Celia,

Thanks for your reply and further advice.  I reversed the transaction (see attached) in the pay super window.  I still have the problem of my bank reconcilliation as I am out the total of the original super contribution payment of $348.09 (see attached).  Any ideas as to how I can balance this?  Thanks in advance.

Hi @Marli 

 

Generally speaking, in MYOB Essentials, if a Pay Superannuation transaction was recorded and then reversed, you can go to Payroll>Super Payments to tick these contributions again then record a new Pay Super transaction and authorize the payment. If the payment was already made to the super fund, then you can consider recording a Spend Money transaction or general journal to update the account instead of recording a new Pay Super transaction, this is to avoid paying it again. 

 

Once the account balances is updated you shall be able to reconcile the bank account.
