For some reason MYOB Essentials (NZ) has stopped rolling over my employees sick leave entitlements on their anniversary date.
See screenshots below from employee sick leave detailed report.
In 2021 this employee's 10 days sick leave rolled over on the 4/9, great.
However, in 2022 it didn't, it just shows a 0.00 amount and in their leave tab, the sick leave box shows no sick leave available, which is wrong.
Has this happened to anyone? I can't just adjust the opening balance in the leave tab either, as it screws up the sick leave.

Hi @LisaMPW
Sorry to see that no one has replied to you yet. However, I can see from your account that you were since able to speak to our phone support team who were able to fix the incorrect sick leave balances.
I trust that this query has been sorted, but please let us know if you need help in the future.

Kia ora Samara,
Actually, in that phone call the customer services person just manually entered in his sick leave entitlement days as an 'opening balance' for a new employee whose 6 month sick leave entitlement did not but should've updated automatically.
Since that initial query, employees who have been with us a number of years, did not have their 10 day sick leave entitlement automatically update on their anniversary date as it should have.
Why should I have to manually adjust their opening balance to fix this, it means I have to account for any un-used sick leave that they are entitled to have accumulated over to this next anniversary date.
I've not had to adjust the opening balance before, as the system automatically updated it, but now it isn't.
So to reiterate, the current and unresolved issue I have is this:
The system is not rolling over the sick leave entitlement automatically and updating employees balances
I should NOT have to manually adjust their opening balance each anniversary date to fix it.
Does that make more sense as to what my problem is? Cheers, Lisa

Sorry to hear that you have had trouble with the suggested workaround.
Can I confirm, if you go to; Payroll > Employees > Employee name > Leave > Annual entitlement > Is "weeks (pro-rata)" or "hrs/year (fixed)" selected in that field?

All our employees are on the fixed i.e hrs/year (fixed) (4 weeks annual leave entitlement)
How does that affect the sick leave not rolling over automatically on the employees anniversary date for this year?
Yet, it rolled over automatically in each previous year.
FYI - Nothing has been changed or amended in the employees leave tab since they started.
Cheers, Lisa

Hi Lisa (@LisaMPW)
Thanks for confirming that. I've had a look into this and it looks like it was all set up correctly. As you mentioned that you manually entered in his sick leave entitlement days, that is what is causing it to stop the rollover, so you will need to manually roll it over going forward.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused by this process.
