Hi Lisa,
The wages and salries came from the P&L when I double click 6-1100 Wages & Salaries for May. It did not come from the General Ledger. I had quick look at the genral ledger reports and it is not shown there for employee 1 and 2 (only 3 and 4).
Below Employee 1 and 2 payslips so you can evaluate whether it's net or gross.

the transaction history shows the allocation correctly but I don't understand why neither entry is in the gl
are they processed and reported to ato?
can you check the ato report to see what it looks like
can you screen shot the accounts list so I can see what is linked also
this is odd

Hi @JMillares
Probably not a good idea to post such detail on a public forum.
The problem with responding to such situations is the presumption that MYOB does things correctly - this is clearly not always the case. There are countless bugs and in some cases 'strange' practices - I read a Moderator's post recently advising that with the new Essentials, the financial statements will not include transactions that are not yet reconciled - I hope I misunderstood.
In your case it seems, either these 2 transactions are not yet reconciled and this is why they do not appear (again I hope I am wrong), or, MYOB has 'lost' the transactions entirely. I note the only reference to the 2 payroll transactions in question is JE000218 - which I presume is something you have entered separately based on the payroll transactions.
See if you can find PY000915 or PY000918 under some reconcilable account and 'reconcile' it. As there was no bank transaction, you can't rely on a bank rec. Once reconciled, see if it them appears in the P&L and BS.

Gavin

Hi @gavin12345
Thank you for your input. These transactions were definitely reconciled. It did not only happen in May but on previous months as well.
I also take your point on posting too much detail, I will have to be more careful next time.
Cheers.

Hi
The payslips look fine also
Do all employees get paid under 'normal pay' category
Have you checked that the pay items are linked to an account ? That is if the employees are paid under different categories they have been linked as per the two transactions that have been recorded in the gl
THe conceerning thing is that the transaction journal is correct
When you checked the transactions to ensure that they were reconciled , because they are each nil , did you make sure that they are actually ticked in the reconciliation area?
It might be that you do need to contact MYOB to get an answer
See what you find when you check those few things out

Hi @LRBooks61
All employees gets paid the same way and we have not changed this since we started using MYOB. This only happens when deductions equal to the net pay (zero take home pay).
How do you contact MYOB directly?

Hi @Steven_M
My wife suggested you would be able to help with my issue. Just to sum up, when deductions equal to the net pay (zero take home pay), the wages and salaries do not appear on the P&L report.
Hoping you can help Lisa and myself with this issue.
Cheers
Jozen
