Good Afternoon,
I need to import open purchase orders - item purchase into MYOB via a text file. I created a PO in my test system and then exported the file. I then removed purchase order number + record number reformated the $ fields and the date field and saved as a text file. Attemped and upload and I get an error message that states Error 25 - Invalid Amount.
I get the impression it's a rounding issue but can't work it out, I have uploaded sucessfully if I remove all $ fields but as soon as I add $values I get the error message.
I've upload the export file, the upload file and the error text file for review.
Thanks
Steve

Sorry - had a second look, I see that is the order qty. I don't see any other qty or amount error.
Hi @Steve_Hutchins , there's a figure of 1180 towards the end of the line, if that is the amount paid then it should be zero.

I note the column count in up file differs from the ex file. Suggest you try creating the update file again, ensuring the column count matches the export file. By dropping 2 columns your mapping might be reading Received amount as ED PARK, causing the error.

Thank you for your feedback - I did finally work out the problem - simply put MYOB will only accept the "price" field to 4 decimal places. So in the example $10.27/1180 = .09090677966 but if you re import the same transaction MYOB only imports 0.0909 - therefore causing an error - 0.0909 x 1180 = $10.26 and the transaction now doesn't balance.
My workaround is amend my upload spreadsheet so will always be a few cents out!
Just a small bug in MYOB ....
Thanks

Hi @Steve_Hutchins , I thought it accepted up to 6 decimal places - have you tried that?

Hi @Mike_James,
Ok after more testing I can confirm that MYOB only accepts 4 decimal places in the Price field - It also needs that field in the upload (you can't leave it blank) and going to 5 or 6 decimal places has not affect on the calculation.
So a minor bug which I will need to ensure via my upload file that I cover that off.
Thanks for you interest Mike.
Cheers
Steve

Thanks @Steve_Hutchins , that's probably an improvement to the core product that was not followed through to the import module. And you are right, pricing fields need to be supplied in the import.
