Integration with shipping software

I was wondering whether there were any plans for Myob Advanced to build an integration with shipping software. I understand that this could be done by making use of the Carrier Integration feature; automatically exporting delivery addresses and package dimensions, and importing connote and freight cost details.

An example of this is Acumaticas integration with Pacejet http://www.pacejet.com/erp/acumatica/. However, these add-ons don’t work for Australian users, as they mostly only integrate with American freight companies. However, it would be great if Myob Advanced could build an integration with an Australian shipping software company, such as StarShipIt https://www.starshipit.com/ or ReadyToShip https://www.readytoship.com.au/. Apparently StarShipIt already integrates with Myob AccountRight Live and Myob Exo (https://www.starshipit.com/partner/myob-cloud/), so it would be great if they could extend this to Myob Advanced.

Has any information or programing come from this?

We are looking for the ability of IFS smartfrieght to 'talk' to MYOB. So we can look into the MYOB invoice and see the stock for that customer has been sent, without needing to rely on the Smartfrieght software, which is not always available to us - being a portable office. 

We also need to be able to run a report through MYOB showing what has been send and what has not. Based on this information being added (manually at the moment)

MYOB invoice generated - stock picked, packed and IFS sticker printed - Stock sent - An automatic trace number available in MYOB.

Manually entering IFS label numbers daily is no longer sustainable for us as we are sending out many parcels. 

Would appreciate any feedback or relevant advice as surely others are having similar operational systems, is there a better way?

@CarlBrooks, thanks for suggesting Smartfreight. I have gotten in contact with them and really like their product. They connect to a lot of Australian freight companies, which is great.

However as @dOrepast notes, they don’t currently integrate with Myob Advanced. Could Myob and Smartfreight possibly create such an integration? I note that the “Shipping Carrier Integration” option on Acumatica is not available to Myob Advanced users. From what I understand Acumatica also directly integrates with UPS and FedEx.

I assume from this that there is tech available within Myob Advanced to integrate directly to Smartfreight. Could such an integration be done please? I think it would be a great addition to the Myob Advanced ecosystem.

We are looking into a third party plug-in to enable the two programs to talk to each other.

No we didn’t have any luck with finding any Australian shipping software company that integrated with Myob Advanced.

We wanted to start using some shipping software for price comparisons and better tracking anyway, so we decided that we would go ahead with StarShipIt. We decided to use them as its quite straightforward to get set up, get freight accounts loaded on etc. We’ve only recently started using them, and are entering the freight manually.

However, if you know as to some shipping software that integrates with Myob Advanced, I’m interested!
