Is the PayDirect reader still available?

Hi there

 

I am an accountant who uses a PayDirect reader to take payments from my clients.  One of my clients saw me using it and is interested in getting one as he is a driving instructor and it would be useful for taking payments while he is on the road.  Are these readers still available?  I can't find anything on the website and the email that I sent to paydirect.support@myob.com.au looks like it won't be answered and is no longer active.

Hi @LouiseG

 

Currently we aren’t taking any new applications for PayDirect card readers, and it’s not possible to purchase new readers. At this stage I do not have a timeframe of when new applications will be available nor new readers available for purchase

Any update on this?  Are there any plans to re-introduce the PayDirect readers?  Also, for those people who already use them, will this be continued long term as an option or is it to be discontinued at some point in the future.

Hi @LouiseG

 

As has been mentioned, we are currently not taking any new applications for PayDirect card readers and the purchase of any new device. At this stage, we don't have a timeframe for when we will offer again.


For pre-existing PayDirect card readers, these will continue to work as designed for the foreseeable future.
