Just Invoices v1.2 -- User Definable Input Field?

The Insert Field function generates a drop down list of pre-defined fields (based on field names from its databases), however we would like to have a user defined field on the invoice.

er record, but a single name is not sufficient for the reason mentioned.

What we would like to have is a field which we could use as Attentio

Reason: our larger customers have numerous people who place orders with us and, when it comes to payment of them, we often experience delays due to their accounts payable department not knowing who to chase within their organization for authorisation of the invoices.

Just Invoices has the Contact field associated with the Custom

n: [particular name] where that is the name of the person responsible for authorizing the particular invoice.

Can any of the JI fields be repurposed by us to achieve that outcome?

Re: Just Invoices v1.2 -- User Definable Input Field?

Hi @George_S,

Due to Just Invoices being a sunsetted product, there is not much information that I am able to provide. However, the only field that would be beneficial would be the comments box at the bottom left of the invoice entering screen.

There is a good chance that you are currently using this though.

Cheers,
Jake

Thanks Jake, yes we are already using that comment field.

BTW: what is the replacement product for Just Invoices? We don't need an entire accounting system -- just the functionality of Just Invoices.

Re: Just Invoices v1.2 -- User Definable Input Field?

Hi @George_S

We don't sell a direct upgrade for JustInvoices, however, you could look into MYOB Essentials or AccountRight Standard. These products do have a free trial option on our website.

Note: We no longer sell just an invoicing program, the above programs would be the recommended alternative. However, JustInvoices data is not able to be migrated across to those packages.

Kind regards,
Steven

"However, JustInvoices data is not able to be migrated across to those packages."

That's a very poor decision by MYOB management!

Re: Just Invoices v1.2 -- User Definable Input Field?

Hi @George_S

JustInvoices is a very old product that we do acquire from a third party company and rebranded it as MYOB JustInvoices.  Due to it's older style database and the information that database does contain (only invoices), it is not a product that can have its information migrated into our other MYOB programs, which do require more of an accounting base for migration.

Kind regards,
Steven
