Myob Advanced

Just wondering if anyone uses MYOB Advanced and if so how they find it ?

I'm particularly interested in how it handles consolidations and complex structures and associated reporting.

Thanks in advance !

Tracey

Re: Myob Advanced

Hi @twhitters

I am currently working with Enprise (An Advanced reseller in both NZ and AUS) and group of companies (13 in total) who need to consolidate and report at a group level as well as at the entity level. Evidently, there are a number of ways to do it so contact them and ask. I know that they have a number of clients that do consolidations so do have experience.

Cheers

Re: Myob Advanced

Hi @twhitters

Firstly thanks @Steve_Marriott  for his comments, naturally as an MYOB employee I would say it is great but to add to Steve's comments here are a couple of our MYOB Advanced case studies where multi company and branch requirement was a must for them, hope this helps.

https://www.myob.com/au/enterprise/case-studies/woolcock-group

First Inecom helped the Woolcock team talk through high-level configuration – such as the number of companies and branches needed, naming protocols and how to best use sub-accounts to dissect various business divisions – before moving all the necessary data to the new system.

What Marnong Estate needed, explains Gerald, was a cloud-based system that could operate all the separate entities, and still be “integrated back into an umbrella view.”

Re: Myob Advanced

So, do you need to use an advisor to set it up?

What costs are involved?

Re: Myob Advanced

Also - can you just roll your accountright file into it so you dont lose all the history ?

Re: Myob Advanced

Hi Again @twhitters

Advanced is a complex system and you will need to go through a reseller to get it setup. Each reseller will have different charge out rates and ways of doing things so you really need to ask a couple of firms from your local area to price the conversion from AccountRight to Advanced taking al history with it.

Regards
