One employees Holiday Pay total a whopping & incorrect $485k in EXO

Hi

I am running EXO payroll, for some reason i have one employee (who is on Salary) showing a very incorrect amount of $485909.00 in his holiday pay total.

When i looked into any differences between his setup and the other employees setups, it seems the days paid  are incorrect (all the other full timers say 260, his says 5), i think this must be the issue and wonder how i can possibly change this to match everyone elses, as they all do the exact same hours.

Thank you for any help you can give me (tried calling, hung up after being on hold for 37 minutes).

Hi @campmother ,

Yes, as you've highlighted, the Days Paid is definitely the problem here.  Not having Days Paid set up will definitely cause problems if you're using Days Paid calculations.

This Knowledge Base article has a good outline of how Days Paid work in Exo Payroll:

Days paid/hours paid (New Zealand) (Link will open in different page)

Their advice for how to fix this is:

"Go into the employee's Holiday Pay screen and edit their Pay History.  Update the Days Paid for the previous 52 weeks/12 months worth of pays."

Please note, our current best practice is to swap the system over to Weekly leave calculations/management, as this is more in line with the current MBIE best practice guidelines for leave management.

I've spoken to one of my colleagues from our consulting/training team, and they strongly recommended looking into either a Foundation Skills Webinar or Workshop.

You can review these, along with a full list of our available courses, over at MYOB Academy.  (Link will open in different page)

Cheers,
Will
