Can an existing Essentials payroll be upgraded into Essentials or connected ledger + payroll

Wondering if it is possible to upgrade an existing payroll and merge it with a new either connected ledger file or an Essentials Accounting file (migrated banklink file). I realise that we would have to use the Old essentials as the new doesn't have payroll yet (not sure whent the ETA of this is) 

Can this be done? We are just migrating our clients over from Banklink and some of the clients (who use to be on ACE and now Essentials) want to have everything in one system.

Thanks for your post. It isn't possible to migrate an Essentials payroll file into an Essentials/connected ledger + payroll file. Our Migrations page linked here, has information on what can be migrated.
