(AU) SuperStream resources for your clients

Throughout April, we're talking to MYOB AccountRight customers about SuperStream via emails and letters. It’s likely that your clients will receive this information from us at some stage. Here's what we're sending out. Please feel free to share with clients as you see fit!

MYOB SuperStream Guides - In this ZIP folder, there are two brochures: 

• Easy guide to superannuation - An 18-page guide to the ins and outs of super to help your clients stay on top of their workplace obligations.
• SuperStream ready in 4 steps - an easy-to-read guide that provides an overview of super and an introduction to complying with SuperStream.

MYOB SuperStream website - This is MYOB's dedicated site for SuperStream compliance. 

Paying super is super easy (VIDEO) - A video that explains Pay Superannuation - a free service included as part of an AccountRight subscription.

Could you provide more details on SuperStream for AccountRight v. 19 users - in addition to the AR 2015.1 users already covered.

A number of businesses have chosen to continue using v. 19 for a variety of reasons, or are obliged to continue with it for the time being - e.g. retail stores using MYOB Retail Manager (as the link to AccountRight 2015 is not yet fully operational - e.g. for certain inventory item transactions, and the new POS system - Kounta - doesn't yet have this functionality).

If they have 20 or more staff, they will need a SuperStream service by 1 July.

Current Australian tax law says:

- Employers with 20 or more employees must start using SuperStream by 1 July 2015

- Employers with 19 or fewer employees must start using SuperStream by 1 July 2016

   - but can start using it from 1 July 2015, or between 1/7/15 and 30/6/16, if they wish.

(suggest you check this and update the wording on the MYOB SuperStream website).

Great question! 

At MYOB2015 Roadshow, we announced that a SuperStream certified service will be included free for MYOB Cover clients using AccountEdge and the classic AccountRight platform. We'll be comunicating to these clients over the next few months.

Hands up if you know what's happening on the 28th April? Well, yes, it's true that some people celebrate Billy the Kid's escape from the Lincoln County jail in Mesilla, New Mexico in 1881. 

However I was more thinking that super guarantee payments for the March quarter are due on 28 April. Yikes. All the more reason to share the SuperStream info above with those clients that had to battle through their super obligations recently. After all, you and your clients don't want to go through this hassle at EOFY time, right?
