IMPORTANT - Action required - Microsoft security update & AccountRight

Hi everyone,


You would have noticed the various postings by @Suja_P and her team regarding issues logging into AccountRight due to a Microsoft update over the past couple of days.


If you are experiencing issues whilst logging in, please see the below communication that was sent out to Partners late last night which contains a solution to resolve.



ACTION REQUIRED: Microsoft security update & AccountRight

Microsoft has released a Windows security update that is impacting numerous clients worldwide, and may prevent you or your clients accessing AccountRight company files.

Microsoft is working to address this issue and will be releasing communications and a fix within the next 24-hours. We expect this fix will apply to all AccountRight company files on your system.

In the meantime, MYOB has developed a solution to ensure continued access to you and your clients' company files.

  • If you or your clients have already installed the Microsoft security update and are having difficulty accessing AccountRight

    We've created a tool that solves this issue. You'll need to run this tool on all AccountRight company files that you use, until the Microsoft fix is live.

    Follow our easy step-by-step guide on the MYOB Community Forum
  • For all other users

    To maintain access to company files, go to the Help menu and choose Confirm Company File. You will then be able to apply the Microsoft security update.

We have sent this information to all impacted AccountRight customers, and will update you with further details of the Microsoft fix.
