Hi ,
Have recently added a CBA eftpos machine intergrated with Retail Manager. The problem I have is once the terminal finishes the transaction it takes around 30 sec before the approved box comes on screen and I can open till. Is there a way to shorten this delay ?
Its so annoying as I can not leave till or use RM until its finished and can not attend to anyone else while I am waiting.

Sorry to hear of the inconveniences that the CBA eftpos machine is causing you, it sounds very unusual for it to take that long to finish the transaction. There are a few things you could double check to see if it will run faster.
Firstly, have you tried reinstalling the program and the eftpos machine? Secondly, have you tried reconnecting it to a different COM port? Also are there many other programs running the background or is there limited space on the computer?

Hi,
Yes have tried what you suggested. Have 167GB of space on PC. even disconnected viris protector. As for programmes in the background there is not many and still has made no differance. I am really stumped now.
Have also had bank down to check machine and its cleared there tests. Have tried different com port even connected it via an adaptor to a usb port.

The problem you are facing with the eftpos machine seems very strange then. What version of Windows and RetailManager are you currently using there?

Hi,
Sorry about the delay replying. Am also working with the bank as well. Using windows 7 and version 12.0.698 of RM.
Banks trying something else next week. will see if that helps. Will let you know. But if you have any ideas that will help me solve this lets know.

Have you considered that the CBA Eftpos machine may be faulty? Please double check this also. Otherwise let us know how you go with your Bank and do not hesitate to contact us again.

PC Eftpos downloaded new update and now its working as it should be.
