Accepted with errors - EOFY Finalisation for now inactive employees

Hi,

I processed my EOFY finalisation on 7/7 and have just been told by a now inactive employee that his payment summary is not showing as tax ready in his mygov.

I have now checked the report and can now only see a number of errors in the finalisation report.

I have 10 now inactive staff that have the error "CMN.ATO.GEN.XML03". I have checked the errorr and it is meant to mean that there is an invalid character in a field. I have checked all staff and there is nothing that I can find, other than the fact that each one is now inactive in my system.

I also note that in the finalisation report, their gross earnings are missing but payments withheld match my payroll reports. I can also see that I have sent the finalisations through.

I have attempted to reactivate everyone, then I reversed the relevant finalisations for those staff, and then refinalised them and have still recieved the same error codes.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi @rbannister,

Thank you for your post.

If you go through each of these affected employees' cards, can you check if they have an 'Income Type' selected for each of them? (Employee card > Payroll Details > Taxes > Income Type)

Kind regards,
Sam

Thanks. I have now gone through each one and updated that. I likely deactivated them prior to STP phase 2. I have removed their finalisations and resubmitted them, hopefully that works. I will wait and see.

Still no luck with the EOFY finaliasation reports. I updated each employee and saved it,  resubmitted the report.

The report is still "accepted with errors"  with error code CMN.ATO.GEN.XML03 . I can't see anywhere else that has incorrect fields.

Hi @rbannister,

Thanks for letting me know.

Could you try resending the finalisation in smaller batches instead of all together at once? Does the error persist?

Kind regards,
Sam

I have tried this yes, the error continues to persist.

Re: Accepted with errors - EOFY Finalisation for now inactive employees

Hi @rbannister,

Thanks for letting me know.

If you haven't already, could you please run a $0 Pay Run for the affected employees, and check to see if the error perstists? If it does not, please finalise those employees and let me know if the error returns or not.

Kind regards,
Sam
