AccountRight reports don't match my STP reports

Hi there

Can I please double check this with someone these three reports match, the Payroll register (Summary), Payroll Activity(Summary) and Payroll summary(category) but they don’t match the YTD Verification report only because of an unreportable meal allowance amount. But is the unreportable meal allowance supposed to show in the Reconciliation to Payroll section on the YTD verification report? Thanks

Hi @Anewbee 

The AccountRight reports filter according to the payroll category types and include all payments entered when processing pay runs. The YTD verification report filters according to the ATO reporting categories assigned to the payroll categories. Payroll categories assigned the Not reportable ATO reporting category are not reported in the YTD verification report.

If you run the Payroll summary report in the browser it includes the ATO reporting categories to help with reconciling the YTD verification report.

The payroll summary report in the browser gives the same total as the other three reports. So if the Payroll categories assigned the Not reportable ATO reporting category are not reported in the YTD verification report. I understand their will always be that difference with Not reportable categories is that correct? So if its ok that their is only that not reportable cateogory difference I understand that its ok for me to now click on transfer business to stp phase 2 since I have no errors?

Hi @Anewbee 

If there are no errors you can move to Phase 2. 

The AccountRight payroll reports include all amounts paid to employees, regardless of the ATO reporting category. The YTD verification report filters those amounts by the ATO reporting categories. This does mean that the AccountRight reports will include amounts that are not reported to the ATO through STP, so there will be a difference in those reports.
