Additional tax based on % of gross

what if an employee wishes to pay an extra tax amount based on a % of her gross pay 

it appears that i cannot use the deductions option as this cannot be linked to the ATO reporting category "PAYG withholding"

 

Is there a work around?

 

its also disappointing that myob still hasnt incorporated the ability to see EXTRA TAX taken out  shown on an employees payslip when they wish to see transparency on their tax

Hi @jrs 

 

The newer MYOB Essentials/AccountRight allows the user to enter an extra tax amount to be included in the PAYG Withholding account. This is done within the employee's record>>Taxes section. Within here, you can enter the Extra tax amount per pay. Note: This does need to be entered as a dollar value. 



If you are using the Original MYOB Essentials platform, the extra tax amount can be manually entered into the Tax amount when recording a pay:
