Hi,
I have having similar problems to others re this error type except the error is in the allowance description that is imported on the timesheet from Tanda (I think it is the "+" in the allowance description). I have edited the allowance name to let the payroll progress but everytime I import the timesheets it creates a new payroll category. Has anyone been able to resolved this issue between Tanda and MYOB?

Welcome to the Community Forum.
This error means there's an invalid character somewhere in your payroll information in MYOB. Invalid characters are "[ ] ! # $ % * ; = @ <>\ _ { } ^~`"
You'll need to check for (and remove) any invalid characters in your employee cards and payroll category names.
If after checking the above you are still getting the error, we have found the following might also resolve the issue:
