Discrepancy with YTD verification report and payroll summary

We have a discrepancy between payroll summary report and stp ytd verification report.

Have narrowed it down to the final pay of a terminated employee. (it is not included in the YTD verification report)

Termination date is prior to the date the final pay was processed. Would this be the cause?

Please can you offer advise on how to correct this?

Thank you

Re: Discrepancy with YTD verification report and payroll summary

Hi @Kylas

If the termination date in the Payroll Reporting Centre is prior to the actual final pay processing date, then that can be the issue. In order to correct it, follow the steps given below:

1) Remove termination from the Payroll Reporting Centre>>Employment Termination >>Click on three dots next to the employee name and Remove Termination.

2) Reverse the final pay and reprocess it correctly. ( Please note that if ETP payments are included in the final pay, the final pay needs to be reprocessed on a different date to the reversal date).

3) Declare the final pay to the ATO and wait for that report to be accepted.

4) Enter the termination date in the Payroll Reporting Centre, notify the ATO and check if the year-to-date reports are now correct.

If the reports are still incorrect, we would need further information on which ATO reporting categories have discrepancy and if ETPs were also included in the final pay.

Kind regards,
Komal
