What are the repercussions for businesses if we cannot provide an employee with the correct payment summary by tomorrow?
I am in the same boat. No contact from MYOB and STP finalisation due tomorrow. Not good enough MYOB!!!
We are aware that some customers through various reasons have been unable to finalise STP and their EOFY. This is something that we are working with the ATO on. As it’s a relatively new process for a large number of businesses, they are aware that there are some teething situations for customers. However, if you are concerned we do recommend reaching out to the ATO in relation to this matter.
My situation has changed slightly, the ATO reports have partially updated, now I have;
1. YTD verification report does not include the entire final termination/ETP (only 1 employee affected)
2. The employee's Summary of Payments report NOW includes the ETP Taxable Component, the ETP Tax Withheld, but DOES NOT include the remainder of the termination payment (Gross/Super/Tax)
I believe I am in the second group, from @Steven_M 's update today. I've advised the employee and will hold off making any further adjustments until we hear from you again!
I have just read your post and note that I have not been contacted by myob with a fix to my problem in relation to this matter. Will someone be getting in touch with me today?
We have 1 employee with ETP last FY. His summary report shows an incorrect ETP figure. I have undone finalisation, reversed the ETP payment and re-did it and re- terminated the employee. The payroll activity detail shows correct figures, but The summary report is still incorrect. Somehow the ETP taxable component is over by $2,400 and ETP tax withholding is twice the amount.
How do I fix this? Thank you
