How do I make a correction on STP: I processed an ETP and forwarded the transaction to ATO then realised there was an error - deleted the original on MYOB re processed the ETP and then sent again on the same day - now the employees wage Activity detail on MYOB is correct but the ATO Payroll report for the Employee is showing the total of both ETPs
What you have done is the exact process for correcting a Pay Run that was not correct.
When you send through the second report, the Year to Date (YTD) totals will get updated through to the ATO which will share the correct details.
Although in your Payroll Reporting Centre (PRC) and your ATO Business Portal you will see both reports, the YTD figures will have pulled through correctly and match your Activity Report in the Employees MyGov account. The ATO is currently only looking at the YTD figures so it isn't a worry that you can see both reports.
Thanks for that answer- I am just concerned as once the correct and final payment went to the ATO reporting centre and was accepted I assumed that the Employees ATO payroll reporting YTD would correct itself and the totals be same as the MYOB Payroll Activity Detail for the employee but when I checked the final accepted report the employees YTD Gross and Tax was correct but the ETP had was the total of both the correct and the adjusted do I need to delete and redo ETP again ?
We have recently discovered there is an issue with resending ETP reports to the ATO and will need to grab some details from you to resolve this situation.
I will have someone from the Payroll Team contact you in regards to this issue.
that's worrying, any chance you could update the forum when this is fixed?
We will definitely be able to confirm when it's resolved.
For now, anyone with this issue will need to call into the Support Team.
You haven't missed anything here, there has not been any movement yet.
I will update as soon as there is.
