Error: Something's gone wrong - When using Check Payroll Details in STP

Product: AccountRight 2018 and above

 

Symptoms:

 

When using Check Payroll Details the software crashes with the "Something's gone wrong" error with the following details in the Error Log:

 

Message:

(Unknown): ShowUIView(SingleTouchPayrollReadinessCheck,...,...)

 

 

Stack Trace

----------------------------------------

MYOB.Huxley.API.HuxleyApplicationException:  (Unknown): ShowUIView(SingleTouchPayrollReadinessCheck,...,...) ---> System.InvalidOperationException: Sequence contains no elements


Cause:

 

This is caused by a missing value in the database, normally found in those who recently upgraded from AccountRight Classic (v19 or below) as the data wasn't present in the old software.


Resolution:

 

This can be fixed by running a script over your datafile. Depending on if the file is online or offline can depend on if you can run the script or if MYOB Support can run the script.

 

The script will need to be run by MYOB Support. The MYOB Community Support Moderators would be happy to help run the script over your file. So you can request this, please send them a Private Message with:

  • The MYOB Serial Number (Found in: Setup > Company Information)
  • The Company File ID (Found in: Help > About MYOB AccountRight)
  • Your Product (Also found in: Help > About MYOB AccountRight)
  • Script to run: KB0010324

There is a Local Hotfix available that you can use over your file, download this to the computer that holds the .myox file in order to run it over your file. See below for instructions on how to do this:

 

Note: Before continuing, make sure AccountRight has been closed.

Tool instructions:

 

  1. Download the AccountRight_Hotfix_Reporting_Spec.zip file onto the computer.

  2. Extract the contents of the zip file to the desktop.

  3. Run the AccountRight_Hotfix.exe application.

  4. Browse to a file or drag a file onto the tool.

  5. Make sure have a backup of the file and Apply the fix.

  6. After the hot has been run, you can then re-open AccountRight and try using Check Payroll Details again.
