Negative ETP Values

Good afternoon,

I have recently processed an ETP, which after submitting to the ATO I realised that the tax was shown at PAYG withheld, rather than ETP tax withheld. I reversed the payment and re-entered - both submited to ATO. I also deleted the incorrect ETP under the EOY tab for the employee.

However, the Payment Summary for the employee now shows a minus figure, and the YTD verification has no value (assuming negative ETP will be reported as zero).

I would appreciate some advice on this.

Thank You

Re: Negative ETP Values

Hi @SueCQ

Welcome to the Community Forum. Can I confirm, did you remove the termination before you reversed and re-entered the ETP? If it was done after that could explain why the information is coming through incorrectly.

For clarification, the order that you would need to this process is:

  1. Remove the termination
  2. Reverse the ETP in the software
  3. Re-create to ETP with the correct information

If that is not the issue, could you send me a Private Message with the following so I can investigate further:

  • A screenshot of the STP YTD verification report
  • A screenshot of both the negative ETP pay and the original
  • Your Serial Number and Account Name

Re: Negative ETP Values

Hi @SamaraM

Thank you for your post.

I have removed the termination, reversed the ETP in the software and recreated the ETP, as per the steps outlined, however, instead of correcting the issue, it has duplicated the problem.

I would greatly appreciate any other possible solutions.

Regards

@SueCQ
