Only 4 Staff can be paid in one month?

We have used MYOB STP for many years and we have one staff finish at the beginning of the month and the new staff member start after she had left but now I am getting a message that I can only "pay" 4 staff in the month.  Never seen this before.  It is impossible to get staff to leave in one month and the replacement to start the next month.  We paid out the departing staff member, made them inactive and added the new staff member with a commencement date after the departing staff member but MYOB STD won't let me pay this person until I upgrade to a bigger system we neither need or want.  We still only have 4 staff.  Anyone know what is going on here or know what to do about this.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @mitt19RR

Thanks for your post. The Help Article, Payroll limits and fees, has detailed information on this. If you need to pay a new employee and you've already reached your monthly limit, you'll need to upgrade your plan. You can downgrade your plan afterward.

The Help Article, MYOB Subscription, has information on changing your plan.

Hi @mitt19RR

Or you could not record the payroll for the new employee until next month (pay them manually and record next month once not paying old employee anymore). I believe the limit is based on the number of employees paid in a month not how many times they have been paid.
