Payroll Deduction - Edit a Category

I want to change a payroll deduction from Calculation basis - "User Entered" to "equals ...$   per pay period" 

I get a warning that "changing the calculation basis will clear the amounts already entered for these employees against this payroll category".

Really? Does this mean I have to continue to manually enter this deduction until the end of financial year? Will it affect STP when I report final pay figures to ATO, if I change it to a set amount each pay period?

Hi @Yenz

 

I would recommend taking a look at my post on Change entitlement calculation basis which outlines this particular message and what the system is asking you.


In terms of Payroll reporting and historical transactions, information already reported to the ATO should remain untouched.
